Time to focus on the “O” in GROW with Julie Ann Carter of A Design for Life Studio

Coaching has been described as many things including that of a control tower guiding the pilot to their destination. The control tower doesn’t need to know how to flythe plane as the pilot does. Just as the pilot can fly the plane so can the coachee find their own answers for themselves. This concept is acknowledged within the GROW model where you gently guide thecoachee to find their own options to their own issues.

Basedupon the work of Nancy Kline, the thinking environment shows how we can use our time with our clients to get the most from our clients at the optionsstage, simply by creating the right frame of mind within the client and asking a few simple questions to illicit the real inner thoughts. This is where we access the real creativity and the true solutions. Once the client knows this is their solution, and really owns the solution their commitment will be resolute and their success will follow.

Sucha simple concept of thinking of solutions, it is amazing how little we really do this.

Marketing your Services

Lizz Clarke is Managing Director of Logical Creative Marketing, which she founded in 1989 and has become one of the region’s most respected agencies. For its first 10 years, the agency was the outsourced marketing team for Dale Carnegie Training in the UK, and Lizz gainedextensive knowledge of the personal development market during that period. She was the world’s youngest ever Dale Carnegie Trainer and practiced with them for 16 years, and now uses a variety of coaching methods to elicit marketingresults for her clients.  

Lizz will give a brief presentation on what coaches should consider when marketing their services, and then open for the floor for questions and discussion.

Wednesday 20^th October – Members Only evening

This evening will be for members only as small business owners have been invited to come along and have a coaching experience to discover the fantastic benefits of being coached, whether it is for their personal life or their business, the choice will be theirs.

Wednesday 17^th November

Michael John Smithson who is a founder member of Hampshire Coaching Group will be giving a talk covering the Importance and Effectiveness of Social Media. In building up your business. There will also be an opportunity to coach each other (perhaps in pairs) in respect of responses to the elements of social media for themselves.
